Young girls are going missing so "Captain McVeigh" - a soon to retire policeman played here by HB Warner - is charged with finding out what's happening to them all. He suspects that Philip Van Zandt ("King Peterson") a local nightclub owner might have more information and we gradually discover the local district attorney (John Archer) is also involved - and he has quite a "stormy" relationship with journalist Astrid Allwyn ("Nora 'Butch' Page"). It's all a bit too convoluted. Warner turns in a solid effort and Allwyn grins a lot, but in the end it is just a rather long, tedious, B movie about racketeering with too many characters to muddy the water and by the end I'd almost forgotten what the point of it all was...
