Years after moving to Manila, Sophia finally decides to pursue her life-long dream of working on a cruise ship. Meanwhile, Lorenzo decides that it is time to put his identity as Nicolas Barrientos to rest.

As Sophia arrives in Amsterdam to a warm welcome from her best friend, Glenda, she unknowingly crosses paths with Nicolas. Elsewhere, Marlon receives a new lead on Lorenzo.

Unable to contain her curiosity, Sophia searches the ship for the mysterious passenger. Nicolas donates blood in hopes that it will help develop a cure for cancer.

Nicolas accompanies Sophia back to the cruise ship after coming across her on Bruges. Marlon orders his henchmen to abduct Helen.

Sophia finds herself in an awkward situation with Nicolas and a near-death incident brings them together. Marlon makes an effort to get closer to Helen.

While in Poland, Laurence makes up his mind to finally leave the past behind and finds solace in his new life as a doctor. Sophia embraces the challenges of raising her child as a single parent.

Because of impending danger, Nicolas and Bing escape to Prague where they unexpectedly encounter Sophia and her son.

Marlon is forced make several grim decision regarding Borja Pharmaceuticals. Laurence returns to the Philippines to find out the truth about Adrien.

Sophia's chance encounter with Laurence at Adrien's school casts doubts on her plan to get married to Philip. Laurence receives confirmation that Adrien is his son.

Matthew and Lawrence agree to meet with Eddie to discuss the latter's discoveries regarding Borja Pharmaceutical. Sophia finds proof that Nicolas and Lawrence are somehow connected.

A shocking discovery puts Nicolas' relationship with Sophia and Adrien in limbo. Overcome with doubt, Sophia makes a shocking decision regarding her wedding plans.

Lawrence manages to escape from Marlon with Matthew's help. Determined to hunt down the immortal man, Marlon enlists Olivia's aid in locating Lawrence. Soon, the safety of one of Lawrence's loved ones is put at risk.

After Marlon lashed out at her for her betrayal, Olivia takes Philip away and seeks help from the Madrids. Marlon vows to make Lorenzo pay for Michael's death. Meanwhile, Lawrence resolves to find a cure for his and Adrien’s immortality.

Determined to take Sophia and Adrien away from Lawrence, Philip unwittingly leads Marlon to their location. Marlon wastes no time and kidnaps Sophia and Adrien.

Lawrence gives Marlon the immortality formula in exchange for Sophia and Adrien's freedom. However, Marlon reneges on his end of the deal. He decides to keep the entire family captive and prepares a torturous setup to exact his revenge on Lorenzo.

Sophia rushes Philip to the hospital after he took a bullet for her. Soon, Lawrence focuses on his promise to live a normal life with Sophia and Adrien. Aware that he must give up his immortality to fulfill that promise, Lawrence comes to a decision.
