And during the first joint lunch, intended to bond the group, the differences between them turn out to be greater than expected once again.

After five weeks of working incredibly hard on renovations, it is really starting to take its toll on Sonja and Hendrik. On top of that, their budget has reached a dramatic low point due to all the expensive help. Steffi and Gregor are breaking building regulations again, much to the displeasure of some other couples. Bianca and Silvio are letting it all pass them by; they are completely exhausted by now, and Silvio, in particular, realizes that participating in the toughest renovation adventure in the Netherlands might not have been the best idea.

The final 24 hours for the nursery are upon us, and the couples are pulling out all the stops to meet the grueling deadline. The younger generation seems poised to pull it off, but for Silvio, things are facing difficulties once again. Due to his back problems, he has to undergo an MRI scan. There are also complaints from the neighbors about noise pollution. The candid Bianca takes full responsibility for the racket, but it is clear that not everyone is being entirely honest.

The completion of the children's bedroom is just around the corner, and the competition is fierce. Bianca and Silvio pull another all-nighter in the hope of finally delivering, but the question is whether that will be enough. Meanwhile, Lotty and Frank are remarkably relaxed, while Marloes and Patrick try to rectify their earlier mistakes. All kitchens have been delivered, so the Block Residents must ensure the apartments are kitchen-ready. This leads to chaos, stress, and relationship troubles. While some couples are well-prepared, others turn out to have their affairs anything but in order. Things immediately fall apart for several pairs when it turns out that being kitchen-ready involves a bit more than expected. Meanwhile, tensions are rising for some couples. An seemingly lighthearted topic like marriage suddenly leads to surprising revelations and awkward conversations. It turns out Lotty has been married before, and Frank knew nothing about it. The theme of marriage also causes unrest for Steffie and Gregor. And then there is Jim, who causes a costly blunder early on.

While most couples are finally getting the hang of DIY, Lotty continues to fumble with construction jargon, which bodes ill. Meanwhile, construction supervisor Heiko walks around like a watchdog, and nothing escapes his notice, much to the irritation of Menno and Patrick, among others. The pressure is mounting rapidly: the underfloor heating needs to be installed, as the kitchens are already ready to be fitted. With the deadline approaching, nerves are starting to kick in. Schedules are shaky, frustrations are bubbling up, and a broken hob throws everything into disarray as well.

The renovation teams are in the eighth week of the renovation. The final stretch towards the completion of the kitchen has begun. Sonja and Hendrik are receiving help from a kitchen installer they received as a gift from Kim and Jim. Hospitality team members Marloes and Patrick are hosting the now-legendary communal lunch. Steffie and Gregor are doing so well that they take the time to pay a visit to the competition, but this is not appreciated.

The DIY couples start a new week by filling the waste container. However, Frank and Lotty had already done this after the completion of the living room, and Menno decides to confront the couple about this transgression. This puts a strain on the relationship between the couples. On the advice of construction supervisor Heiko, the DIY couples trade materials with each other, but communication between Sonja and Hendrik and downstairs neighbors Patrick and Marloes does not run smoothly.

The final weeks have arrived. Where seven couples once battled it out, only six remain. Whether that will stay that way remains to be seen, as clarity is forthcoming regarding each couple's budgets. However, Kim and Jim have already resigned themselves to the fact that the final deadline will not be met, and Menno, too, has his doubts this time about the feasibility of the to-do list. That is why he would like everyone's permission to interpret the building regulations a bit more broadly, but naturally, this is not to the liking of a number of competitors...

This dynamic creates a tense atmosphere in which cooperation and perseverance are put to the test.

Tonight on Het Blok, the handover of the hall, toilet, and stairs is approaching, creating maximum tension in Crooswijk. Jacky & Menno have barely slept because Jacky is completely overwhelmed by doubt and, according to her, the 'horror staircase' threatens to be the death blow to this handover. The discussion about fairness is also flaring up. Kim & Jim, as well as Jacky & Menno, are increasingly wondering whether everyone is playing under the same conditions, while Marloes and Patrick are actually benefiting from their exemption and trying to catch up on their backlog with the help of their handyman from the provinces.

It is the day of the sixth and final handover, but no one is getting it finished. Fatigue has visibly taken its toll, and tension is rising everywhere. While the jury makes a critical round, things get out of hand internally: Kim and Jim report Steffie and Gregor for violating building regulations, and Steffie is out for revenge. After the jury deliberation, a surprising result follows that does not sit well with everyone. The final week is now drawing alarmingly close!

The tension is mounting to the limit as the grand finale approaches. While Ray attaches the countdown clock, the renovation teams realize that every small detail could make all the difference. Jacky remains uncertain about her earlier choices and assigns Menno extra tasks in the meantime, while he is already cautiously looking ahead to the coveted grand prize. At the end of the competition, it is calculated which couple has managed to realize the highest equity. This winning duo is crowned champion and receives a cash prize of no less than 100,000 euros.
