Season 1

An accomplished Filipina chef drops everything to go to Switzerland to search for her daughter. There, she starts off on the wrong foot with a young OFW named Renz, and a chapter of accidents causes their paths to cross multiple times.

Rose brings a drunk Renz home and takes care of him, causing the young man to warm up to her and help her find her daughter. They grow closer to each other as they sneak inside Matt’s hotel and soon find out that they have a past connection.

Despite the pressure from his parents to marry his Swiss girlfriend, Renz gets into a relationship with a hesitant Rose. A series of unfortunate events befall Rose amid her search for her daughter.

Rose and Renz’s bond grows deeper as he promises to fight her battle with her, but their relationship abruptly ends when Rose disappears from Renz’s life. Eight months later in Milan, Renz witnesses a proposal that turns into a heartbreak.

Franco tries to make up with his ex-girlfriend, only to see her with someone else. Crossing paths with Renz for the third time, Alex thinks of a way on how they can move on from their exes but under one condition.

Despite the sexual tension sparking between her and Renz, Alex tries to resist temptation and opts to stick to her values. To her surprise, she discovers another bizarre thing she and Renz share in common.

Alex attends Matt’s birthday dinner with Renz, only to get scolded by her grandmother. She tries not to let Lily’s words get to her, especially after Renz stood up for her. Soon, however, Alex's mood turns sour when she receives an unexpected call.

Rose feels happy for Renz upon learning that he has a new girlfriend. In a desperate attempt to find her daughter, Rose sends a message to the numerous cellphone numbers she collected during her search and waits at a cafe in Milan.

Alex goes to the café where Rose is but refuses to show up upon recalling how painful it was to be abandoned by her own mother. While Matt and Christina receive some good news, Rose and Luz argue over their different points of view about motherhood.

Upon learning of Rose’s persistence to find their daughter, Matt confronts his ex-wife and gives her a much-awaited chance to see Xandra under one condition. However, their meeting angers Christina, who thinks her husband loves Rose more than her.

Matt stands up for Rose when his family learns of his agreement with his ex-wife, pushing Christina to drown her sorrow. As she celebrates her small success with her friends, Rose cannot help but reminisce about her time with Renz.

With Franco and Matt’s support, Alex eagerly pursues opening her own restaurant in Milan, which reminds her father of Rose. Dreading how the tragic news will disappoint her family, Christina finds a way to blame her miscarriage on someone else.

Rose makes it clear to Matt and Lily that she did not cause Christina’s miscarriage, but the Zhangs adamantly refuse to listen to her. Renz becomes angry toward Alex upon learning that she reconnected with Franco without his knowledge.

Alex’s constant lying puts Renz at his wits’ end, pushing the pair to revisit their relationship rules. Rose feels guilty as her friends get tangled up in her feud with the Zhangs. To her surprise, Rose receives a call from someone she least expects.

Matt strikes a deal with his ex-wife after Christina convinced a reluctant Lily to withdraw their case against Rose. A present from her mother stirs Alex's childhood memories. Renz sees Vangie off at the airport, only to chance upon a familiar face.

Renz's repressed emotions suddenly creep up on him when he catches sight of Rose at the airport. Alex, oblivious to what her boyfriend is going through, reads Rose’s letter explaining why the latter was forced to leave in the past.

Rose starts working again as a chef in Manila, while Alex successfully opens her business in Milan. As Rose ponders whether Renz has really moved on from her, the young man decides to return to the Philippines after learning of a family emergency.

Rose chances upon Renz at Cusina Rosa. She opts to avoid him, only to feel guilty and worried later on over the young man’s dejected demeanor. Back in Italy, Lily scolds Alex for sending money to Renz, pushing her granddaughter to make a bold move.

Rose's old wounds reopen as she comes face to face with a ghost from her past at the Blue Flame. Using his father's situation, Renz tries to convince Alex to patch things up with her estranged mother before it's too late.

Alex and Rose turn emotional as they finally get the chance to clear the air between them. While the two women are on cloud nine over their reconciliation, Renz receives a piece of love advice from his father.

Unaware of Renz and Rose's shared past, Alex breaks the good news to her boyfriend and invites him to meet her mother. While she and her daughter waste no time catching up, Rose receives an unexpected call from Luz.

Rose finds herself at a loss for words when she meets Renz again, but now as her daughter's boyfriend. Meanwhile, Alex grows convinced that Renz is the one for her, putting her mother in a difficult situation.

Rose decides to keep her past with Renz a secret. Much to Alex's surprise, Renz loses his cool when he finds out that she has been financially helping his family. Mario, meanwhile, flies into a rage upon learning of Vangie's sacrifices.

Rose takes advantage of the opportunity to bond with her daughter alone as Renz and Alex go through their first major fight. Meanwhile, Renz reflects on his situation upon overhearing Dante's advice to Mario.

Rose and Alex's blissful time together gets cut short when Renz arrives to patch things up with his girlfriend. While Alex remains oblivious to the tension between Rose and Renz, Lily warns Matt after making a discovery about Renz's father.

Renz confronts Rose on why she left him, pushing the latter to convince Alex to not rush things with her boyfriend. Back in Italy, Matt and Christina argue over telling Xandra about Mario's past.

Alex gets into a car accident after standing up for Rose when Matt found out about their reconciliation. Meanwhile, Renz seeks Mario's forgiveness for keeping Vangie's infidelity a secret.

Despite the palpable tension between the Zhangs and Rose at the hospital, Alex's accident turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Mario discovers something disturbing about Renz upon the arrival of a package from Milan.

Mario confronts Renz over his suspicion that his son has an ulterior motive behind his relationship with Alex, but Renz refuses to admit the truth to his father. Alex tells Rose that it was Renz who encouraged the former to reconcile with her mother.

Renz finds a way to finally gain Matt's approval, unaware that Franco agrees to connive with Lily in digging up dirt on him and his family. Bent on meeting Alex's mother, Vangie heads to The Blue Flame unannounced.

Xandra decides to move out of the Zhang mansion. Without her sister and Jerry by her side, Gwen goes to a bar to drink her sorrows away. Unaware that Rose is Alex's mother, Vangie confronts her until Renz's girlfriend walks in on them.

Worried that her past relationship will be revealed, Rose decides to set things straight with Renz's family, oblivious to the prying eyes of their neighbors. Franco, meanwhile, gains something he and Lily can use in their secret plan.

Tension rises among the Zhangs when Gwen’s parents learn about the night Jerry rescued her at the bar. Christina and Lily storm Rose's restaurant to confront her, but Rose resolves to prove her innocence, armed with evidence of Christina’s lie.

While Rose manages to clear her name from Christina's false accusation, her revelation inadvertently drives a wedge between Matt and his wife. Vangie, meanwhile, warns Rose to stay away from Renz for everyone's sake.

Despite standing her ground against Vangie's threat, Rose grows concerned upon learning how desperate Renz was after she left him back then. Xandra gets wind of a malicious gossip about her boyfriend.

Lily and Franco set their sights on identifying the guy who sneaked into their hotel in Switzerland with Rose. As her new restaurant opens, Xandra begins to doubt Renz upon seeing a photo of him with another woman.

Rose gets a fresh start with Matt and Christina following the successful opening of her and Alex's restaurant. Meanwhile, Alex decides to follow Renz secretly as she remains doubtful about her boyfriend's fidelity.

While Alex grows even more convinced that her boyfriend is cheating on her, Renz becomes worried when a woman with an axe to grind reappears in his life. Mario tries to warn Rose about his son despite Vangie's opposition.

Renz opens up to Alex about his ex-girlfriend, Jenny. Unbeknownst to him, Jenny's sister, Jessa, is determined to make him pay for her twin's untimely death. Meanwhile, Rose sets her sights on the truth.

Renz's violent encounter with Franco fuels Rose's suspicion about the former's involvement in Jenny's death. This pushes Rose to begin her own investigation. Meanwhile, Dante volunteers to deal with Jessa.

With her growing doubts about Renz, Rose tries to confirm if he has a hand in the recent attack against Jessa. While Lily and Franco make progress in their investigation, an argument erupts between Christina and Matt.

Rose gets into an argument with Alex as Jessa's revelation fuels her suspicions about Renz. Renz, meanwhile, confronts Rose after the police questioned him regarding the harassment against Jessa.

Rose's violent encounter with Renz brings her closer to Matt, much to Christina's jealousy. Realizing that her boyfriend is no longer the guy she used to know, Alex makes a painful decision.

As her son becomes miserable, Vangie threatens to blackmail Rose. Christina rants to Lily about her fear of losing her husband. Renz's trauma resurfaces when he learns about Rose and Alex's plan to leave the country.

Much to her mother's shock, Alex announces her engagement to Renz. Although Renz manages to turn the tide in his favor, Rose remains suspicious of her daughter's fiancé.

Tension rises at the Zhang mansion when Lily insists that Xandra and Renz sign a prenuptial agreement. To make it up to Matt, Christina plans an engagement party for her stepdaughter. Rose discovers something about Renz's past.

Rose confronts Vangie about Renz's troubled past. While Xandra's engagement party is going well, a piece of information solidifies Lily's suspicions about her granddaughter's soon-to-be husband.

Matt and Xandra are overcome with grief and guilt when an unforeseen tragedy befalls Lily. Franco inadvertently sows a seed of suspicion when he confronts Renz about his involvement in the devastating incident.

In the aftermath of Lily's passing, Alex decides to push through with her wedding plans, prompting Rose to reach out to Franco. Dante tries to take advantage of Vangie and Mario's misunderstanding.

A sentimental Alex stumbles upon Lily's file about Renz and Rose's connection in Switzerland. Still intrigued by Franco's accusation, Rose confronts her daughter's future husband.

Alex and Renz's wedding preparations are in full swing as the big day approaches. Oblivious to her daughter's recent discovery, Rose fears that Franco might have unearthed her past with Renz.

While Rose's suspicions and doubts against Renz grow, Alex's heart bursts with joy as she spends an intimate bridal shower with her loved ones. On the same night, however, Alex stumbles upon a discovery that completely shakes her to the core.
