When the scion of a wealthy family is found shot to death in a servant girl's room, Inspector Cameron needs to know whether it is premeditated murder.

Dr. Chisholm's romance is blighted by the return of the lady's "dead" husband (believed to have drowned). There are many suspects when he is actually .murdered, including the doctor.

Politics is said to be a dirty business, but in this federal election it's personal. Inspector Cameron gets involved when there's an attempt on a candidate, but the one who gets killed is the campaign manager of the opposition. Whodunit?
