Focused on preparing for his trip and beginning a life dedicated to religion, Salvador meets Carolina, a young and cheerful seamstress who, upon seeing him, shows obvious love. After a brief conversation, the two share a long-held affection. Later, at dinner, to say goodbye to his friends and begin a spiritual retreat, Salvador meets Carolina again. This time, they both surrender to their passion, never imagining that María Luisa would almost find them together. Excited about the new life she's experiencing, Carolina visits Salvador's house hoping to tell him they're expecting a child. However, María Luisa refuses to tell him where she is and explodes with rage upon learning that the young woman is pregnant with his child. Upon arriving in the city, Carolina finds it extremely difficult to give her daughter what she so desperately needs. In the midst of a stormy night, desperation forces her to leave her little girl in a house far from her care.

After being forced to leave her daughter in a group home and ending up hospitalized, Carolina rushed from the clinic in search of her little girl. Unfortunately for her, she received devastating news that made her vow never to touch her heart with anyone. With a painful past, Cristina grew up in a foster home where she dreamed of becoming a famous model and working for the renowned Carolina Guillén. During the presentation of Carolina's new clothing line, Carlos had the opportunity to speak with a prominent businesswoman. When he broke the news to his mother that her designs would be available in a prominent New York store, she was overjoyed. Moments before a benefit for the foster home where Cristina grew up, Carlos had a moment of confusion filled with love. Carolina's son thinks the young woman is the new model they've been waiting for.

While Cristina was desperately searching for a bouquet of white flowers for Carolina, Manuel mistook her for a saleswoman. The young woman corrected him and, thanks to her charisma, won the music producer's affection. Amid the launch of her new clothing line, Carolina contacted the detective she'd hired to find her lost daughter in Europe. However, the designer didn't receive good news. Thanks to Cristina and Marisol, Lorena attended the major music event organized by Manuel. Carolina introduces Carlos to the new model she's hired, which is a huge surprise for Cristina and Carlos. After discovering that Carlos is Carolina's son, Cristina asks them to end their friendship and any previous relationship to avoid future problems at work. After a long time, Tamara returns to Carlos's life. His old relationship will once again put his life at risk, leading him to a major crossroads. After Omar's dinner with Romina's family, Ramiro wants to know how long it will be before he can show up at Carolina's house, as his goal is to see her in person.

Carolina is overjoyed at Tamara's return to Mexico and hopes she will be reunited with her son, Carlos. Carlos meets with Tamara to end their relationship, believing it ended the moment she decided to leave Mexico. Manuel is intrigued by Lorena's intentions, who showed up at the exhibition to greet Carolina with great enthusiasm. Manuel explodes with fury at Carolina for prioritizing work over her family, demanding that she find balance in her life. Father Salvador discovers that Cristina's boss is Carolina Guillén and is shocked by Cristina's description of her, describing her as a very harsh person. Despite Tamara's efforts to maintain Carlos's love, she appears to harbor a secret connection with Leonardo, admitting that their past experiences led her to decide to leave Mexico.

Lorena insists on making Manuel see that she could be a good option for him to date, even though she knows he's going through marital problems. Salvador goes to his mother, María Luisa, after clearing things up with Carolina, to reprimand her for how unfair it was for her to control his life and not allow him to be with Carolina and the baby they had.

Carolina is thrilled to learn that Salvador is willing to do anything to find her daughter and do so by her side, which gives her hope that the discovery will happen. Tamara is determined to find out who the model Carlos is dating is, so she begins investigating the people who work with Carolina. At Romina's party, Omar brings his father, Ramiro, with the goal of impressing Carolina, which is exactly what Ramiro expected: to leave her perplexed. However, Tamara surprises them when she sees them in a very peculiar embrace.

After a meeting between Carolina and Salvador, she decides to confess the problem she's having with Ramiro. Salvador offers his support and, at the same time, reveals that he still thinks about the life they could have had together. After Cristina gives Carlos a second chance in their relationship, he makes it clear he's serious about her, giving her a promise ring and swearing it's the most important thing he has. After Romina insists she doesn't want to end her relationship with her boyfriend Omar, despite Carolina's demands, Romina threatens to leave home if they don't let her continue their relationship. In a recent effort by Carlos to show Cristina he's serious about their relationship, he gives her a fidelity ring. She can't hide her excitement and shows it to Tony, who receives the news with joy, seeing Cristina's happiness.

Carlos suspects that the problems at home, especially between his parents, are due to his father seeing another woman, leaving Manuel dismayed by the accusation. Ramiro reappears at Carolina's house to "support" his son after she refused to allow them to continue their relationship. This leaves Carolina furious at the lack of support she receives from her family. Manuel is dismayed by Carolina's irritation, who doesn't want Romina to continue her relationship with Omar. In the first days of searching for his daughter, Salvador receives good news from Don Señor: they've found two young men who meet his criteria. After a sensational day, Cristina decides to invite Carlos to her room to culminate what she considers the best day of her life, feeling as if she's finally living her dreams. Tony, upon discovering Carlos sneaking out of Cristina's room, confronts him and gives him an ultimatum, saying he's not allowed to break Cristina's heart, or he'll have to deal with him.

Cristina's friends say she looks very happy, and she confesses that she spent the night with Carlos. Carolina and Manuel are having a good time as a couple, and it fills her with creativity. Ramiro's plans are jeopardized by Omar.
