Season 1

María, 18 years old, decides to leave her town and try her luck in the city, where she gets a job as a domestic worker.

Gustavo discovers that Juan Carlos has lost two years at the university and gives him an ultimatum. María, taken by her employer, goes to the doctor and he tells her that she is pregnant. María tells Juan Carlos the news.

Juan Carlos refuses to show his face for the child he is expecting with María and she is disappointed by his cowardice. María's future looks cloudy, as the boss of the house tells his wife to fire her.

Juan Carlos looks for María and she refuses to talk to him, assures that she will be able to get by without anything from him. Víctor looks for a maternity hospital for María. Rita is fired for being on the lookout for María.

María throws herself into happiness after the birth of José Ignacio, she swears that she will lack nothing. Maria’s new employers are tight-lipped and she doesn’t like baby squeals. María decides to take dressmaking classes to get ahead.

Matilde and Víctor offer María a room with them and the possibility of doing dressmaking. María's employers humiliate her one last time, after notifying her that she will stop working with them. Natalia falls in love with Juan Carlos.

María is satisfied with her first home. Juan Carlos continues to have remorse for abandoning his beloved and he sets out to find her. María sees in Matilde a mother. Almira does not miss an opportunity to be insidious.

Juan Carlos meets María again, tries to give his son his last name, but she refuses and refuses to continue seeing him. Natalia continues looking for Juan Carlos, but he warns her that he is not planning to marry anyone.

Natalia continues to insist on conquering Juan Carlos, but her retrograde ideas are counterproductive. Matilde prepares a great celebration for the baptism of José Ignacio.

After being run over, María had to have her leg put in a cast, José Ignacio did not suffer any scratches. Almira makes a scandal, due to her jealousy, and Víctor ends up admitting that he does love María. Natalia plans to go visit María.

Juan Carlos thinks about taking legal action so that his son can be taken to a doctor. Rita quits her job so she can be with María. Tired of the contempt, Juan Carlos proposes to María and she accepts.

María and Juan Carlos reach an agreement for their wedding, although Renata and Matilde give María some advice. Alberto is harsh with Brenda. Víctor resents the decision of María's wedding.

Almira is excited after being invited by Víctor to the cinema, she is already thinking about a wedding. María and Juan Carlos have a difference and he swears he will never go back to her.

Juan Carlos asks María to stop her friendship with Víctor, she refuses. Juan Carlos demands that Víctor stay away from María. Brenda demands that Alberto explain his disdain for her. Fernanda is excited about Juan Carlos.

The upcoming wedding of Alberto and Lorena has caused a stir; Gustavo refuses, but Florencia talks to him, on the other hand, Brenda goes to talk to Lorena and she is not willing to lose her man.

Brenda threatens Lorena. María, through the newspaper, finds out about Lorena’s wedding to which Juan Carlos did not invite her. Natalia takes the opportunity to intrigue with Fernanda at Lorena’s wedding.

Fernanda feels limited by her illness, but she loses hope of conquering the heart of Juan Carlos, Florencia encourages her to do so. María decides to move in with her cousin, but Juan Carlos doesn’t like the idea at all.

Víctor looks for Juan to talk man to man. Two years later, Juan Carlos is graduated as a doctor, but he does not intend to keep the promise he has made to María. Almira marries René. Rita is Roman’s girlfriend. María has a good clientele.

Juan Carlos, despite Fernanda’s health problems, asks her to marry him. A lawyer visits María to allow Juan Carlos to see his son. Víctor confesses to María that he loves her, but she is not in a good moment.

Juan Carlos confesses to María that he cannot marry her, on the other hand, he offers to marry Fernanda. Due to her disappointment, María studies to improve herself every day.

Out of curiosity about Natalia’s message, Fernanda looks for María to meet her, but she pretends to be a client. Armando, Perlita’s father returns for her. Natalia confronts María at her house.

María looks for Fernanda to claim her, but at her house she also confronts Juan Carlos. Fernanda is happy about her pregnancy, but because of Natalia’s madness, she is facing one of the most tragic moments of her life.

Juan Carlos reproaches Natalia for Fernanda’s death. Juan Carlos looks for María to tell her about Fernanda’s death and looking for an opportunity. They try to accuse Juan Carlos of the alleged murder of Natalia.

Ignacio has grown up and finds out that his parents are not married. Juan Carlos’s father meets María and her grandson, encourages his son to look for María again. María rejects Juan Carlos, but he warns her that he will get his son back.

Juan Carlos insists on looking for Ignacio, but María is so opposed that she tells Juan Carlos that she will marry Víctor so that he will give his son his last name. Juan Carlos and Víctor fight to blows.

María finds out that Juan Carlos has taken her son, but later she finds Juan Carlos, there he threatens him with a gun, but Juan Carlos’s father intercedes to help María. Juan Carlos leaves his home because of his father’s disloyalty.

Years have passed, Ignacio is already a man. Gustavo, Juan Carlos’s father, will have to undergo surgery, so the family asks Juan Carlos to return to Mexico to see him. Juan Carlos visits Ignacio, who receives him with resentment.

Juan Carlos asks María to marry him again and she rejects him. María agrees to go to Juan Carlos’s house, where Gustavo gladly receives her and asks about his grandson.

María has bought the chain of stores. Ignacio and María visit Gustavo one day before his surgery. Ignacio realizes that Laura is also Gustavo’s granddaughter.

María meets Arturo D’Angelle, talks with him about his expansion plans. Ignacio opposes Arturo conquering his mother. Almira tells María of her concern since her daughter Iris is in love with Víctor.

Arturo continues to pretend to María. Given Lorena and Alberto’s bad relationship, he begins to fall in love with Silvia. Almira asks Víctor to put a stop to her daughter so as not to deceive her.

Despite María's rejection, Arturo insists on conquering her. Laura and Ivonne begin to have problems for the love of Ignacio. Amelia asks Julia for help to find out who her husband’s lover is. María and Ignacio fight because of Arturo.

Carmen confesses to Almira her liking for Víctor. Lorena sees Silvia and Alberto in a compromising situation. Ivonne confesses to her uncle Arturo that she is only playing with Ignacio.

Faced with María's jealousy, Víctor and María kiss. Carmen and Víctor begin a closer relationship. At Víctor's house they introduce Carmen as his girlfriend, Iris leaves heartbroken. Ignacio finds out about Ivonne’s intentions.

María sees Iris trying to kiss Víctor and making a jealous scene at him. Lorena believes that Alberto is trying to kill her. María faints and in the hospital she has an unfortunate encounter with Lorena.

María organizes a dinner with important men, Víctor arrives without knowing about the meeting and feels offended by the abrupt invitation to stay for lunch. Benito and Julia begin to get closer.

Víctor decides to get to know Carmen better in order to forget María. Lorena refuses to give Alberto a divorce and makes him confess to his daughter about his lover.

Doctor Valadez informs Silvia that she will have to stop working at the hospital due to her relationship with Alberto. María asks Víctor not to leave and to continue working at the company, but he refuses.

María cannot get Víctor to stay in the company and reproaches him for going with Carmen, later she goes to console herself in the doctor’s arms. Laura complains to her father for having stopped loving her mother.

After Víctor's resignation, Román is chosen as the new administrator. Carmen, with the help of Víctor, thinks about setting up her sewing workshop with clients and seamstresses of María. Lorena returns home after a comment from Ivonne.

Lorena tries to humiliate José Ignacio. Lorena looks for María and is slapped by her after trying to insult her son. Román is willing to undergo fertility treatment. María does not look favorably on Víctor and Carmen’s plan.

Víctor steals a kiss from María, they both talk but they do not solve anything and María forbids them to mention Víctor's name in front of her. Fernando confesses his love to María. Grandfather Nacho begins to have a strange cough.

José Ignacio does not intend to give up his love, but he asks Laura for a while. Rita is hurt by Maria’s words. Cruz visits María to intercede for Fernando. Marcos has to start chemotherapy. Carmen and Víctor start their workshop.

Lorena takes Mauricio to her house, creating a scandal especially with Alberto. Don Nacho’s health becomes precarious, so María and Nachito go to town. Arturo is determined and clinging to the idea that Maria should marry him.

Don Nacho scares the family, especially María. María finds out what has happened with the family and is surprised by the attitude of one of her brothers. Pedro, with the help of Ivonne, tries to rape Laura.

Fernando takes a plane to meet with María and put himself at her service. Ivonne puts tares in María with Cruz. Gabriel and Alberto talk about Lorena’s radical change, including her lover. Arturo begins to see Fernando as a traitor.

María calms down the fight between Fernando and Arturo. Don Nacho questions María about her feelings towards her suitors. Gustavo forcibly takes Lorena out of a restaurant, after seeing her making out with Mauricio.

Víctor, after visiting Don Nacho, treats María with disdain. Lorena breaks into the hospital and creates an upset in Don Nacho, after making a scandal, and he faints. An aneurysm is detected in Don Nacho.

Fernando puts his efforts into Don Nacho’s operation, but does not regain consciousness. Lorena does not show any remorse after her actions. Don Nacho reacts only to say goodbye to his loved ones, his wife calls him.

Don Nacho's death serves to unite María and Víctor, apparently it is time to forgive and forget. Florencia visits Lorena to tell her what happened. María thinks about having Víctor return to his old position, but he dismisses it.

Víctor refuses to be an employee of María, he seeks to improve himself for love and win the admiration, once again, of his beloved. Pedro, in the company of his guards, beat José Ignacio. Arturo proposes to María.

Iris tries to commit suicide out of love for Víctor. Arturo questions Fernando's good intentions. Ivonne questions José Ignacio about his feelings towards Laura. Carmen discovers María and Víctor kissing.

Iris is invited to live at María's house to improve herself. Víctor gets jealous because of a call from Arturo. María decides to end her friendship with Arturo, he does not make the decision well. José Ignacio is kind to Iris.

Gustavo reprimands Lorena for her attitude and does not give her asylum. Arturo does not stop insisting with María, he sends her expensive gifts.

Víctor and Arturo come to blows and María banishes him from her life forever. Julia abandons Pablo and seeks forgiveness from her family, but Víctor treats her harshly. Ivonne complains to José Ignacio for his lack of love and attention.

Víctor does not accept that María is Fernando's friend, jealousy consumes him but María does not care. Marcos and Perla make peace. Laura has strange symptoms and Ivonne wonders if she is pregnant.

Laura confesses to Gustavo that she is pregnant and they both look for a solution. Cruz does not lose hope that Fernando wins over María. Germán asks María for help in treating Marcos. José Ignacio looks for Laura.

José Ignacio confesses to María that Laura is expecting his child. Almira is a bit wary of the life Iris leads. Given his dizziness, Alberto gives himself the task of checking Laura.

Laura and José Ignacio's upcoming wedding has woven different comments and reactions; María continues to oppose; Alberto supports the marriage; Ivonne feels cornered and breaks the news of Laura's pregnancy to Lorena, who explodes.

Lorena and María oppose Ignacio and Laura getting married. Laura asks her grandfather for asylum. Ignacio and Laura have the support of Gustavo. María and Víctor's relationship begins to deteriorate.

Lorena takes Laura from her grandfather's house by force. Gustavo confesses to Florencia that Lorena is not his biological daughter. Laura manages to escape from her house again and plans to run away with Ignacio.

Laura has escaped and Lorena is desperately looking for her. Lorena reports the disappearance to the police, so they begin their official search.

Gustavo looks for María so that together they can help Ignacio and Laura. A graduate friend of Gustavo's talks to Ignacio to help him, he tells him about a marriage option between minors. Juan Carlos returns to Mexico.

Juan Carlos arrives in Mexico and talks to María to help Ignacio. Ignacio talks to Laura about the possibility of getting married with the help of the lawyer Hidalgo. Ivonne betrays Laura with Lorena.

María is furious with Víctor when she finds out that he was hiding Laura in his house. Learning that they are looking for her and that she has put many people at risk, Laura decides to escape.

When escaping, Laura decides to go to a town, but the impression makes her faint in that place, a man assists her and decides to put her up with his family. María hires a private detective to look for Laura.

Ivonne tries to discredit Laura with María. The sending of some flowers to María by Juan Carlos unleashes Víctor's fury and an innate fight in a restaurant.

It is discovered that the family Laura is staying with are María's brothers. Lorena gets money to look for her daughter. The detective finds a woman with the same characteristics as Laura, Ignacio and María go to recognize the body.

Víctor sees Juan Carlos kissing María, for which he is enraged and undoes his engagement with her. Diego insists on trying to make Laura fall in love. It is discovered that the deceased woman is not Laura.

Now that he knows about the breakup with Víctor, Juan Carlos asks his son and María for another chance. Iris and Germán begin a relationship. Detective Zepeda informs María that he has clues to Laura's whereabouts.

Detective Zepeda informs María that Laura is at her brothers' house, but when she speaks to them they deny her, Román helps María and goes to find out if Laura is there.

Laura manages to convince Román not to take her until her baby is born. María and Rita run Lorena out of her house when they see her lousy attitude. Estela has dinner with Laura and Federico and at the end of dinner they kiss.

Ignacio and Laura are finally together. María tells Laura's family that they have found her, except her mother. Diego confesses his love for Laura to Ignacio and confronts him.

Rafael confesses to María his liking for her. Ignacio and Laura's wedding takes place. Germán manages to get Iris's father to accept their relationship.

María asks Víctor to undo his partnership with Carmen in order to resume their relationship. Estela and Federico confess their commitment to María. Víctor undoes his partnership with Carmen and resumes teaching.

Víctor has changed, María is happy and they plan to resume their relationship. Perlita is still suspicious about Marcos' trips. Marcos' son is baptized. Benito and Julia start a relationship.

There is a risk that Laura will lose her baby so she has to be admitted to the hospital, but Lorena finds out and looks for her causing a scandal.

Ignacio is seriously injured and has lost a lot of blood, his blood type is very rare and no one has been able to donate. Juan Carlos arrives from the United States and offers to donate blood for his son.

The operation and the blood donation for Ignacio have been a success. Gustavo visits Lorena in the hospital and, faced with her madness, he confesses that she is not his biological daughter.

Lorena makes an attempt on the life of José Ignacio. Laura dies giving birth to a beautiful girl. José Ignacio is desperate when he hasn't heard from his wife.

Lorena accepts having shot José Ignacio, during the interrogation María introduces herself and tells him that Laura, her daughter, has died. Juan Carlos and Víctor argue at the hospital. José Ignacio rejects his daughter.

José Ignacio, full of pain for Laura's death, tries to end his life to be by her side. María is desperate not to hear from her son. Víctor complains to María and asks her to decide between him and his son. María argues with her son.

José Ignacio argues unfairly with his mother over her daughter's baptism, Rita asks María to allow her to put him in his place for judging her so harshly. Víctor tells his mother that José Ignacio makes him desperate.

María makes the decision to make the trip with José Ignacio, provoking the anger of Víctor who decides to end their relationship. Víctor spends the afternoon with Gabriela. Zulema asks Víctor to tell her about María.

María visits Jean Claude's boutique and meets Rodrigo de Peñalvert, who is impressed with María López. Alberto tells Silvia that he misses his daughter. Gabriela tells Víctor that he cannot give her the love that she needs.

Víctor tries to convince Gabriela to give them a chance. Alberto tells Silvia that Lorena was transferred to a psychiatric hospital and will soon be free. Rita meets Víctor and Zulema. José Ignacio spends the night with Ivonne.

Ivonne makes José Ignacio believe that they spent the night together. María accepts Rodrigo and Jean Claude's proposal.

Víctor tells María that Gabriela is not a diversion and soon he will marry her. María meets Zulema and Reynaldo tells her that she will be the model for his brand's exclusive catalogue.

Matilde visits María and confesses that Víctor will marry Gabriela next week. María visits Víctor and tells him that for her and her daughter, he has been a guide in her life.

María tells Víctor that she is going to get married too, unleashing the teacher's jealousy. Rita asks María to forget about Víctor Carreño.

María is upset because José Ignacio arrives drunk at her house in the company of Víctor and Zulema. Gabriela visits María and tells her that she is getting married soon.

María tells Rita that she agreed to marry Rafael. Román and José Ignacio decide to attend Víctor and Gabriela's wedding. Matilde suffers from the decision her son made to marry Gabriela.

Víctor asks María to forgive him, she accepts and they decide to give themselves a chance. Alberto confesses to Silvia that Lorena escaped from the psychiatric hospital.

Lorena escapes from the hospital and arrives in town pretending to be a teacher. Federico meets her and tells her his name is Pilar Dávila.

José Ignacio finds out that Lorena del Villar escaped and decides to look for her and kill her. Benito asks Julia to start a family but she refuses.

José Ignacio tells his mother that he is ready to face Lorena. Víctor asks the doctor who treats Marcos and finds out that María pays the medical expenses. Lorena plans her revenge. María talks with José Ignacio.

José Ignacio tells his mother that he returned the gun so as not to worry her any more. Lorena listens to Anita arguing with Diego. Rita cries with happiness when she sees María's wedding dress. Finally, María and Víctor get married.

María and Víctor finally unite their lives. Lorena manages to steal little María to carry out her revenge. Anita doesn't understand why little Maria got sick.

José Ignacio arrives in La Esperanza ready to take his daughter with him. Diego claims him and prevents him from doing so, facing blows. Lorena manages to escape after being injured by José Ignacio.

Ana and Diego ask Doña Raquel for help to give them asylum and protect Ignacio's daughter. Ignacio and Diego fight with blows again. Detective Zepeda is about to find little María, but when Diego and Ana find out, they flee to the city.

A clue, gives false hope of having found little Maria. Ignacio changes his attitude again and seems not to care about his daughter's whereabouts, he returns to the city and decides to leave home. Lorena begins to react.

María is saddened to learn that her son has left home, at the same time, she investigates with Doña Raquel the whereabouts of her granddaughter and siblings. Ignacio returns to work at the office.

Lorena has recovered her memory and plans to continue with her revenge, but her caretakers want to enslave her. Ivonne approaches Ignacio again.

María discovers Ignacio at a party in her new apartment and gets upset with him.

Ignacio gets upset with María for defending her siblings and paying Ana's bail. Paulina visits Ignacio, but Ivonne arrives and causes a scandal.

María is very depressed because of the confrontation she had with Ignacio for defending her sister.

Abel visits María's house to find out if the story Diego told him is true. Ivonne comes to live with Ignacio, but he rejects her and goes back to live with her mother.

Don Abel manages to convince Diego to return the little girl and together they take her to María. María's joy is transformed when Diego is taken into custody. Faced with his depression, Diego pleads guilty and refuses to have a defense.

Ignacio declares in favor of Diego. Maria visits Abel and thanks him for his help. Juan Carlos is run over and his life is at risk.

Despite being dangerous for his health, Gustavo travels to Miami to see his son. Víctor continues to deny María a trip to see Juan Carlos. Ignacio and María travel to see Juan Carlos.

After talking with Ignacio, María convinces Ignacio who goes in to see his father and forgives him. Víctor falls into Zulema's trap and makes her believe that they spent the night together.

Rita realizes that Víctor spent the night with Zulema and goes to her house to verify it. Ignacio accepts his father and his family. Despite medical efforts, Juan Carlos dies.

María and Ignacio are back and tell everyone about the death of Juan Carlos. Luis takes Nazaria home to meet his parents. Víctor confesses to María what happened with Zulema, she without hesitation and hurt runs him out of her house.

Zulema is beaten by Víctor's mother and by María when she goes to look for them. María decides to run to Zulema before her insults and her betrayal. With the support of one of her kidnappers, Lorena manages to escape.

Víctor refuses to give María a divorce. Lorena asks lawyer Hidalgo for support for her divorce. Víctor roundly despises Zulema.

Arturo finds Lorena and before her supposed misfortune he decides to protect her. The count partners with Maria and will help her stay for a while in Paris.

María gets annoyed with Víctor's serenade, talks to him, but decides not to forgive him. Lorena and Arturo plan to take revenge on María and her family, he helps her have a makeover.

Víctor demands that the count undo the contract, but the count apart from denying it, confirms his interest in his wife. Lorena looks for Silvia and fulfills her revenge.

Víctor and María talk before the date that Román and Ignacio planned without being able to solve their problems. Due to Lorena's attack, Silvia loses her baby.

Lorena shows up at her father's house and threatens him with death. After her divorce, Maria decides to go to Paris to start a new life with her son.

María talks to the doctor and confirms that she is expecting a child. Arturo tells Lorena that they will travel to Paris. Silvia finds out that Lorena was the one who hurt Don Gustavo.

María breaks the news to José Ignacio that she will be a mother again. María asks José Ignacio not to tell Víctor anything about the baby. Arturo and Lorena plan their revenge against María.

María confesses to Rodrigo that she is expecting a child from Víctor Carreño. María tells José Ignacio that Marcos is dying due to the leukemia he suffers from. Rodrigo invites María to dinner to toast the success of the exhibition.

Rodrigo de Peñalvert asks María to marry him so that the son he is expecting will grow up as his own. María tells José Ignacio that Víctor shouldn't find out about her condition. Rodrigo asks María about Víctor Carreño.

Rodrigo proposes to María to give his son a last name. Zulema looks for Víctor to ask for his forgiveness. Marcos loses the battle and dies in Victor's arms. María and Rodrigo go to the fashion house and get an unpleasant surprise.

María realizes that the designs from her exhibition have disappeared. Arturo and Lorena carry out the theft of María's designs to destroy her. Rodrigo asks María to trust him. The exhibition of Maria's designs is a success.

Lorena and Angelo decide to retire due to the resounding success of María López. Rita calls the doctor to visit Víctor. Rodrigo tells Isabela that he is sure that José Ignacio loves her.

Rodrigo asks María not to confront Angelo for the love of her children. Víctor arrives unexpectedly in Paris and finds out that María is pregnant. In her rush to go after Víctor, María suffers an accident. Lorena carries out her revenge.

María suffers a blow to the head and loses her memory. Lorena and Angelo take advantage of her amnesia to make her believe that he is her husband and sister and carry out their revenge.

José Ignacio returns to Mexico and tells his family that his mother has died. María asks Andrés to help her recover her memory. At Maria's house, everyone mourns her death. Angelo is willing to do everything for María to love him.

Angelo makes María believe that the name of the son she remembers died at birth. José Ignacio suffers a snake bite. Clemente tells Estela that he is in love with her.

Lorena carries out her revenge and abandons María's daughter in an orphanage. Lorena and Angelo make María believe that her daughter died. Dulce tries to comfort María in the face of her loss.

María asks Dulce to tell her the whole truth about what is happening in her house. Lorena asks Angelo to trust her, because his revenge against María is over. José Ignacio asks Isabela to marry him. María tries to run away.

María manages to escape and arrives at Dulce's house. Angelo loses patience with Lorena and tries to kill her. Angelo goes to Dulce's house in search of María and she confesses that Lorena wanted to kill María.

Lorena and Arturo burn down María's factory and soon after, the former uses the trap to kill her buddy.

María is distressed to learn that Rita wants to adopt Lourdes. Rodrigo wants to help José Ignacio, who will soon marry Isabela, but Constanza does not see well these actions. María feels harassed by her presumed sister and escapes.

After her reunion with José Ignacio, who recognizes her as a mother, María is taken with her loved ones; she tells the stories she's been led to believe and doesn't remember anything from the past. Gustavo shows improvements in his health.

María discovers who her presumed husband and sister are. Constanza tries to humiliate María and she gets out of character. Yvonne hopes that she will be released from jail. Lorena looks for María and the nuns notify her, she is alarmed.

Lorena looks for Luli in the convent, but her mother tells her that she has already been adopted. Constanza opposes the relationship between José Ignacio and Isabela, she even slaps Isabela.

Lorena calls María and forces her to do what she asks if she wants Luli back. José Ignacio is jealous of some flowers that were sent to Isabela. Lorena, totally mad and full of hate, confesses to María that her daughter is still alive.

María goes to the hospital, after the confrontation with Lorena, and is questioned by the police. Chucho reveals to María that he saw Luli in a room near where she lives.

María goes in search of Luli and confronts the girl who is taking care of her, she also asks for Lorena's whereabouts. Federico tells Clemente that Estela is pregnant.

Rafael and Fernando fight over the courtship of María, but she sets limits on them. Víctor thinks that María's love for him has faded. Rodrigo confesses his love to María. A medal can help Maria find her baby.

Rita demands that María stay away from Luli, José Ignacio thinks the same. Román demands that Rita apologize to María. Lorena becomes an informant to find out Maria's steps. Chucho finds Luli's medal.

With all the pain in her heart, Rita returns María to Luli, she is willing to go with Román, but María prevents it. Estela creates a drama for Margarita, after she saw her with Clemente. María does not want to marry Víctor.
