Season 13

Tommy Myllymäki makes a grand entrance as a new jury member and it will be the start of this year's edition of Sweden's biggest cooking competition. Among other things, we meet welder Nazuk and karaoke host Hugo, who both dream of a career in food.

Auditions continue and more dreaming amateur chefs do everything to stand out from the competition. Siblings Anna and Carl seek happiness together and interpreter Maryam hopes that her Arabic tastes will take the jury by storm.

The battle for the coveted Master Chef spots continues in the final qualifier in Gävle. In the first part of the competition, the jury orders tacos and for the lucky ones who make it through, another task awaits, to make a crispy chicken schnitzel with side dishes.

Now there is one last chance to impress the jury and show that you deserve a place among the top twelve. After tasting, the dreaded decision awaits. Some fall on the finish line, but for twelve lucky amateur chefs the adventure begins for real.

Full of expectations, the amateur chefs step into the mythical MasterChef's kitchen. The first task will be to present the judges with their own signature dish and it is more important than ever to be the best, because the winner is rewarded with a shiny MasterChef M.

In the evening's first competition, the amateur chefs are met by a mystery box filled with wonderful ingredients that must be transformed into a main course of their choice where everything must be included.

The first team competition of the year takes us to a farm on the country side where the amateur chefs get a basic course in the sausage craft. The task is to make a main course with your own sausage and suitable sides. An elimination challenge awaits the losing team.

Tonight we get a visit from celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson who offers a masterclass on African flavors. Of course, the amateur chefs are then tasked with preparing an impressive dish inspired by African cuisine.

Time again for a team competition and the amateur chefs get a unique chance to work in the restaurant kitchen at a real star level restaurant. The bar is set sky high when the task is to create three entrees with unexpected and exciting flavor combinations at the very highest level.

Tonight we fill the Master Chef kitchen with exciting curry aromas when the task is to make your own personal spice mix and then create a main course with flavors from India. Those who fail get another chance in the next difficult challenge.

The evening's cooking takes place on Åland. It is a team competition and after a thorough review of local ingredients and flavors, the home cooks are tasked with creating a delicious meal with typical Åland dishes.

After a number of intense weeks of competition in the Master Chef kitchen, the home cooks receive a personal greeting from loved ones, who also wish for a favorite dish for tonight's competition. In the elimination competition, we get a visit from last year's finalists.

The evening's first competition gets off to a flying start with a game meat memory where the task is to identify different types of game meat. If you do not succeed in convincing the jury with your dish, you have to compete in the elimination, where it is about cooking an innovative dish with algae.

Finally, the chance to shine with their cookbook ideas. But first, the recipes must be put to the test when former Master Chef winners come to test-cook the cookbook dish together with the home chefs.

Two finalists hungry for victory will settle in a final battle where everything is on the line. The final theme is the 500 year anniversary of Sweden as a country and in honor of that day, an exclusive three-course menu with ingredients popular in the 16th century will be prepared. Who will be Sweden's next Masterchef?
