Tensions are high at the Mill, as Mrs Tembe returns and Valerie enjoys her invalid status a little too much. Ayesha reports Karl missing. Al suffers from foot in mouth disease, when he seriously offends a breastfeeding mother.

When an unpopular doctor at St Phil's has a streak of bad luck Ruhma is drawn in, finding there may be a guiding hand at work...

Rob has an explosive start to the day whilst Jimmi and Mrs Tembe have a clash of opinions after meeting with a psychiatrist. Heston helps a carer who is torn between moving in with his girlfriend and staying with his chronically ill father.

It's a day full of surprises when Mrs Tembe discovers a man wearing only a towel in her kitchen and Jimmi finds a hungover teenager in his hotel room. Meanwhile Ayesha tries to get to the bottom of Karl's illness.

Al's headaches are getting worse, and he is worried about what his upcoming brain scan might uncover. JJ moves in with Mrs Tembe, and they get off to a rocky start - has she made the right decision?

James tells Karen the heart-breaking story of what life was like for him on the streets. At the station Rob is tasked with finding a homeless man who has gone missing after being attacked while he slept.

Whilst on a VPAS visit, Mrs Tembe discovers the patient is no longer in need of help, but her son is. Karen and James take a step closer to getting a diagnosis, and Valerie helps Shak avoid his mum when he turns up at the campus with an embarrassing issue.

Al feels uncomfortable when he is dragged into a situation with a patient. Karen is keen to get things moving for James, while Zara pushes Emma towards a colleague.
