While visiting his hometown, cop Nikolai investigates a local man's apparent suicide, but grows wary while questioning those last seen with him.

Nikolai plants evidence to support the suicide theory, but later learns the real story behind Tommy's death. Surveillance footage points to a suspect.

Anniken suspects the blood on the fence was planted. Nikolai gets an old friend to lie for him. Lars meets misfortune while trying to cover his tracks.

As Anniken closes in on Ove, Bengt and Nikolai try to direct his escape. Divers search the river while forensic experts comb through Ove's houseboat.
